Not fully down, it is running very slowly, however. Their domain is responding to pings with good latency, but browsing their site is very intermittent and seems inaccessible at the moment.

Nope, looks like it was an explosion of some sort. You can read more about it on WHT through this link. Burst posted on the first page what the issue is :)

My VPS with Burst had several crashed mysql databases again this morning.

It has been happening almost weekly lately forcing me to move websites of any importance to other servers.

Hopefully they resolve their problems soon.

Yeah, a BURSTNET client told me earlier there was an explosion down the street. Took most servers offline. Glad I'm not in their data center right now :) (except for backups, but those can wait)

Your opinion is outdated and pretty much irrelevant at this point, due to changes at our company.
In November 2008, BurstNET completely replaced/upgraded its entire network, network engineering staff, and billing.ordering system.
Since that time, our services have been rock-solid, save for an "act of God" last month, in which a generator failed to start during a power outage (a transformer explosion a few blocks from our facility that took out power to half of out entire city), due to a defective battery that had tested good less than two weeks prior.
You may have had issues in the "far past" as you claim, sorry to hear that, but we are not really even the same company you did business with back then, with the only similarity really being our name and location at this point.
We have had enormous growth the past two years, since these things were implemented, and that can only be attributed to the excellent service we have been providing since that time :)
