If it were to happen anywhere else in the Muslim world, the perpetrators would have been caught and punished by now. Regardless, I do believe that this is a horrible crime, but what does this have to do with Islam? Someone does this to their daughter in a remote part of Afghanistan and you think that this is representative of all Muslim women. How low-down can you be, really?

I agree that Christianity is a "pretty demented cult". Your words, not mine. Christianity forces women to cover because they are subject to men. Islam exhorts the women to cover because it is for their honour and dignity. Big difference.

 

In Christianity it is all recommendations. There is no use of force for disobeying.
My spiritual teacher teaches that the type of the human body male or female the soul gets into is secondary. A person can be born in this life in a female body next life in a male body and most likely that's what happens with everyone. Depending on what his soul should learn while on earth.
Earth is a school where we have to learn many things, the most important though are the Divine Laws.
And from them the great law of the Divine Love.

The Divine Love is a very long subject and could take many years to learn and understand. It is more important what you have in your head, not on your head.

People now instead of putting the truth in their minds and justice in their hearts are wasting time and energy over things of little importance.

Yes the worship places are not places for show off but places to learn about the Divine and to pray. We have to put our focus on how to get true Divine Wisdom because that is the one of true value. The material things are just shadows, they are tools that come and leave.

If you don't have love, if you don't have justice in your heart, if you do not have truth in your mind do you think they will let you in the Kingdom of God?

WOW! What an ignorant thing to say about "American Women"!!! American women are given the choice to wear whatever they want, but dont justify rapes because of what American Women wear. If a woman gets raped, its not her fault. The person that is raping them is at fault. Who cares what a womsna is wearing? Perhaps you havent heard those stories about elderly women getting raped. Why do you think they got raped? Is it because their clothing was too sexy? I THINK NOT!!! It's because the person (& yes I said PERSON) that is violating the other person is SICK!

 

Islam and Hypocrisy seem to go hand in hand.
