I have a thread on ther third page of domain selling forum and the problem is the rules says that you cannot bump or create duplicate threads. So How am I suppoased to re-post my thread to get it more views?

It's not possible. If everyone did that, then everything would be a kludge of repeatedly bumped threads.

I have a question, say you make a post in your thread saying bla bla these ones have been done & these are left to do...

If no one posts after my post and my 8 hours is up to edit, is it ok if I re post to update what is left to do and what has been done?

I hope ya get me. :)

Sorry if i'm jumping in, didn't want to start a thread.

DP is not your business contact management service.

Use your own site or emails for stuff like that.

what are the rules regarding 'reviews' threads? If you get no replies after the first 12 hours your thread will probably be on the second page (which no-one looks at) so chances are you'll get no response at all. Is it ok to 'bump' your thread so that you get at least a couple of replies?

Considering that you have gone to the trouble of contributing and offering advice to others it's only fair that you should be entitled to some feedback for your own ventures, don't you think?

I have no idea what you mean by that. I mean like for the thread of mine which is currently active is for celeb bios, and I want to add more for people to do, but no one has posted after my last post and I can't edit the post above. Thats why I asked. :)

To the other person who quoted me, I don't intend to misuse it.

Not really. DP forum members are for the most part pretty savvy posters. If a thread does not interest them enough so that the thread drifts to the second page without any replies, then the forum is saying "Good-bye" to that post. It's really very democratic — a reply is like a vote saying, "This is a good thread." No replies = "No interest, let the thread die."

Actually I've found that there are some threads I've posted which shifted to several pages behind but yet I still do get PM about them. I guess when someone is interested, they can go out all their way to drag those post out.

Yes, it could be that some surf down several pages. More likely, someone found that old post via a "Search" for a topic of interest.

I guess that was a pretty stupid point to make. I was just annoyed about my own thread disappearing when I wrote that! It's ok though, someone 'surfed down the pages' and retrieved it from the gates of thread hell... for now
