What is considered as ''bumping a thread'' in the BST section? Is updating with a list of current available articles bumping a thread ?? THX
A related question here: When we buy a pack of articles from someone, is it considered as a bumping post when we post saying something like " Articles has been sold, payment sent " to avoid that the seller sell them again and to let all the buyers know that you paid for the pack.
If you are posting in order to bump the thread to the top of the forum, then yes it would be considered bumping. If you are posting with information that is pertinent to the sale of an item, then it is not considered bumping. Unless, you purposefully leave out pertinent information, so that you can post it later in order to bump your thread. The bottom line is that each post is determined on a case by case basis. You would have to show me an example of such a post to give you a definitive yes or no answer
The seller should know when the maximum number of sales has been made and automatically withdraw the items from sale. Posting to prevent others from buying isn't necessary.
For what you're asking, yes, it would be bumping. If people want to know what's still available because they're interested in buying, they can PM you. You can find out more about what qualifies as bumping in this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=380173 (what you're referring to is just another way of saying "x copies left.")
