Say if someone has bought a signature link privately via PM, are we allowed to post in your thread to say that the link is sold so people don't bid or buy the link which has been already sold without getting an infraction.

If you can't edit the post I suppose there's no option but to do that (only if it's a busy thread - not if it's dormant).
If it were me I would report the thread immediately and ask for it to be closed, so the situation of bumping it didn't arise.

What about if there are two links being sold in an auction?

    Then what happens?

If you can't edit your previous posts, you may do that. Or simply request the buyer to post in the thread that he bought a link ;).

Ok, but the whole reason if a buyer buying via a PM is to keep their identity hidden.

If you can't edit your OP you have no option but to post in the thread and say that link #1 (or whatever) has been sold by PM. I think we're delving into the realms of hypothesy here - have you had to do this before?

I haven't, it is my first auction for a signature link.

I just don't want to get an infraction.

While searching your posts i found http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=512673 thread where you were selling your signature links. Since 8 hours haven't elapsed since your last post, just edit it saying that link # has been sold. No need to post another reply ;).
