When my site goes down and down to the deep dark hole of doom, when can I repost in that thread? Is it proper to repost it in 5 days? Maybe this is clearly written but I dont see it so I thought i'd ask. Also new threads, when is it proper to post a new thread about something already posted?
    Much appreciated!

Repost whenever you like, just don't come across as just trying to bump it.

Reposting is better, it gives yuo a chance to improve your thread - poor quality may have been the reason it didn't get much attention.

However, if you repost within 10 days or so it may be regarded as bumping anyway.

Best to put a lot of effort into reqriting your post and trying a different angle.

thanks again. As far as double posting, I see many people doing it within 24 hours. It seems this forum doesn't have an edit area (or it goes away?). What is a fair time to double post if I have new information to add?

You can edit for up to 8 hours I believe. You can double post if you are truly adding important information, not just info you left out on purpose in the first post.

Like a sales thread that 'forgot' to mention something as crucial as the end date, if they double post 12 hours later they'll get their wrist slapped hard. If something really needs adding then go right ahead but just make sure it's a substantial post. I for one tend to skim posts, impossible to read all. So you're far mor elikely to get away with a good few sentences rather than a quick 'btw bin is $200'.

You believe!! You are a MOD and you have been a member for years and not just a member but contributing established member and you are not sure  (BTW to make you sure, it is 8 hours)

I have a question? What can you do if you have to bump:( Like for say i made a thread WTB websites and in that thread i want people to PM me only because i dont want any competition for me. I get few PMs but then it goes on like 2nd 3rd page in NO time and i am still looking for websites. What can i do if i cannot bump it and i cannot open another similar thread.

Not much. That's the price you pay for "not wanting competition" I guess.

No, if you go to the bottom of http://forums.digitalpoint.com and look just above the list of whose online you will find link to list of mods. This list takes you directly to the list and you can see which mods are online.
