Bump-Free DP

I remember just few months ago most sales threads in B/S/T would just contain an endless queue of bumps. The most lame type of bumps with just the word "bump" in it :D

That was the most annoying thing, seeing people post "bump" every day or every couple hours without adding anything else.

So it's great to see that DP is now officially bump-free ;)

    kudos to the mods :D

That doesn't stop them. I especially dislike it when people reply to their own thread more than once without letting someone post in between.

Ya it's far from being bump free but it's getting there. If everyone would stop bumping at the same time, threads would receive the exposure they need, and not fall off the front page so fast.

The nice thing is that the interesting, more valued, posts will get responses and stay at the top anyway. As readers, we just need to remember to dig more than 1 or 2 pages in for posts that were made today or yesterday.

    Bump...

    JK :D

I am guilty of that :( But when you have a sales thread with 4 slots open and you close out 2 of them through email what are you spposed to do? I recently realized you can edit threads for much longer than I previously though was possible - I guess as long as no one has replied you can edit your original post..? So I;ve started do ing that instead of the 'Bump-date'

Yea - I agree as well,

    The bst is way cleaner.

Now if we could only stop the " I got an infraction - It UNfair" threads we would be alright :)

    Aww crud :S

    Do I report myself?

I'm digging the cleaner, less polluted B/S/T section myself - I don't want to be the one flubbing up the system :(

Honestly i think there is nothing wrong with bumping a thread once per day.
I think DP is way too strict about this issue.

Yesterday i talked to someone who got banned because he wrote a "PM sent" post...

    Seriously guys...isn't this a little overreacting?? :(

If posts like "PM sent" gets you an infraction I think you should give infractions to people who post messages like "still for sale" or "anyone else interested?" also because this is also a form of bumping.

    Just my 2c
