Feature Bump / Edit

    I've seen a few days ago that the bump feature now allows the user to edit the original post . This is GREAT and trully awesome since sales threads can now be almost relisted .

    It's just need two more aditions :
    - the ability to chage a BST thread from : sold to unsold
    - the ability to change the title of a BST thread

    The 2nd one should not be any problems since now there is the option to see edits so no one can try to scam anyone .

    Shawn can we please have this options ?

    I think that if you were to be able to change the thread title then this would make more complications.. trying to find a thread, or correctly identifying a thread when the title changes becomes far more difficult. For example if a mod is trying to check for duplicate bst threads they'd have to look through all the user's bst threads and then check the previous titles.. Also itraders display the thread title which would be inconsistent..

    The thread title should be something that remains constant. Don't mention specifics like pricing in the title and you'll be fine.

    I don't foresee title edits happening beyond the normal 5m window that you can already do it. The post history system doesn't support title edits, only post content edits, so...

    And like Hecky said, there's not a lot of reason to change a title if you do it right.

    I know your allowed to bump once per 30 days as I had a pop up telling me so last week. However now I want to actually use my "bump" I cant seem to find the link. I keep reading its at "the bottom of the page" though cant seem to find it.

    Any help would be appreciated :)
