Also known as Article marketing (I think some "guru" coined the phrase BUM Marketing). Basically this involves capturing all the long-tailed key phrases that surround your specific niche. For example, my Niche is "poker". I have started a Bum Marketing campaign of writing articles and submitting them to EzineArticles.com. The articles will surround the topic of Poker to bring highly targetted and relevant traffic to my site. I.e. I will create articles that rank high for uncompetetive key phrases but will all-together bring large amounts of traffic. Here are some articles I will write about: - UK Poker - Student Poker - Poker drinking games - Best Las Vegas casinos - Online poker scandals - Top UK poker rooms - "Specific casino" Review and so on... As EzineArticles will rank me high (probably front page of the SERPs for the less competetive key phrases), I will grab a large amount of market and convert a lot of organic traffic. Hope this inspires you guys to widen the range of key phrases that you target. Can be incredibly beneficial when you have captured a whole range of niches around your own niche..
You are getting someone else's website to rank on the front page, and the CTR on your links in the BIO will possibly be around 3% or less. So 30 visitors per 1,000 at the most. Would it not be better to publish the content on your own site, and harvest all 1,000 the content brings in instead of 30?
I don't rank well on my own site. I'd probably be somewhere down in the 10th page. + using EzineArticles will create good backlinks as well. The articles will go up on my site eventually when I rewrite the articles I put on EzineArticles.
