This is all very good information. I have a question about the content of your articles.

Let's say your niche is like ,,, ahh, , debt consolidation for students.

When you're writing an article is it going to be information that will help with debt consolidation or will it be a review of a product(such as an ebook)??

Basically what I'm getting at is should my articles be talking about a specific product, or should I provide decent information.

That depends on your "bigger picture" and how you want to monetize. Adsense? Affiliate sales? Direct products?

I'm more interested in Affiliate sales. I have them currently linking back to a sales page, but I also have blog on the domain too, so I guess I could do a little of both if need be.

Thanks, ahh, just to clarify, reviewing the product I'm selling is what I should be doing with my articles?

Do you have to do different products for each review? I couldn't imaging writing and submitting to article directories, reviews for the same product.

Yes, in your articles you write reviews for products you are promoting.

One review for each product. You can choose a niche, and write reviews for different products in the same niche.

Okay cool. I'm just starting out with this article marketing stuff, and I've been writing more informative articles, trying my best to leave them open ended, so the reader wants more.

Thats like asking, I went to a bar last night and didn't meet any girls whats did I do wrong?

well were there any girls in the bar to start with? were they all married, were you dressed well?

It's just impossible to give you an answer with out having more information, show us an example of what you've been doing and I'll be happy to help as much as i can.

I've got MY Super Affiliate Toolbox product launch tomorrow so it might not be for a couple of days..

I find bum marketing to be a bit like playing the lottery. You aren't always going to "strike gold", but the more tickets you buy, the more times you'll win.

You also want to make sure you really pay attention to the keyword research part in the terms you are targeting. Are you ranking for your desired keywords? If not, maybe you need to choose terms that are not as competitive.

Matt's correct about the keywords, you need a good research tool, don't rely on anything that uses overture, the Free wordtracker tool is pretty good but tools like micro neice finder and niche bot are worth looking at when you've started to make money with bum marketing.

Also don't underestimate the time you can spend doing keyword research. When I am researching Niches for Super affiliate toolbox I can often spend an hour or 2 just trying to find the right keyword phrases and often i've had to give up on a niche as there just weren't enough good phrases to make it viable.

I agree - it's a great way to find niches and products though. Once I'm on to a winner I often develop that niche into a full blown authority site, try PPC with it etc. If you know something converts then you'll have a better chance of success.

You can save some cash by checking out my free keyword tool (in signature). It pulls results from wordtracker and then looks at the competition in google, yahoo, and msn, which is exactly what you want when you want to get into bum marketing.
