Wow nice - you are already seeing results from your efforts pretty quickly. The top directory you need to be submitting to is Ezinearticles... Articledashboard and articlefactory are also good ones too.. Submitting 5 a day is perfectly fine, I wouldnt stress yourself. For my largest client I write and submit about 200 articles a month (in a very competitive industry, too).. so you are right on point. Good work!

You're not going to be able to do this with ezinearticles. From what I understand, they will even reject your article if you use a redirect or tinyURL. You will need to either have your own site to link to or maybe create a free blogger account and link to there first. Then direct your visitors to your affiliate link.

Doing this to capture your visitors to your page before sending them to your affiliate link would also allow you to get your visitors to join your list. ;)

You can't put affiliate link in ezinearticles.com
Put the link to your landing page instead of your affiliate link.

    Hey,

Bum Marketing is pretty awesome. But have you guys noticed that EzineArticles.com has been down lately?

You should not use affiliate links in your articles. Instead create a small blog with your affiliate links/reviews and link to it from your articles. This way you'll get more traffic (article sites + search engines)

BTW you should check this bum marketing experiment. There are some good advices there : http://onlinecashcow.blogspot.com/

Why not post the articles on your own site instead of the article sites ? Is there a good reason not to do that ?

Bum Marketing is getting very saturated now. Too many people are doing this.

Since I'm getting good traffic I won't submit my articles to the others.

5 articles a day is fairly good, just keep at it and don't burn yourself out. It's been almost a week since I submitted an article because it's been quite hard for me to focus and pay attention.

ezinearticles.com only allows affiliate links if they forward from a top-level domain name that you own.

posting articles on the major directories on your own site means they have a better chance of getting indexed and ranking on the front page of Google. posting the articles on my site won't get the article anywhere.

perhaps a lot of people are doing bum marketing, but are most of them doing it right?
