Still getting great traffic! I am still making a decent amount of sales from an article written in November!!! Crazy stuff!
Did you have previous writing skills prior to this? How long does it take you to compose an article, and how much focus do you put on inserting keywords into your articles?
alexs464 Do you submit your articles only to article directories, like Ezinearticles? What else you do?
I submit some articles to Ezine, others get published on my own website (for the sake of quality, fresh, original content that Google loves so much)... Except articles, I do OnlyWire, Squidoo, Digg, StumbleUpon - it all takes under 1 hour per day... Oh, I also started getting Opt-ins - and I already see the results It's no rocket science, put in effort, time and be patient
Article marketing is a lot of fun, eventually I just got tired of writing. You can't beat it for people just starting out though, and it certainly still works. Its not going to make you rich overnight though.
I recently started Bum Marketing as well. Want to try it.... Got a website with reviews of products. Registered with StumbleUpon, Digg and Squidoo. I submit reviews on all these websites.
Is there one particular niche that you have knowledge of that you keep writing different/similar articles about? Or do you research different subjects and do new articles from scratch?
I recently started bum marketing about a month ago (inspired by threads here on DP), and so far between 2/1/08 - 3/1/08, I have received through 9 articles submitted to ezinearticles: 1,544 views / 455 hops / 3 sales. Now, those are not huge numbers, but I think it's pretty good given that I'm still a rookie learning this business.
$0...and I'm not kidding. It doesn't cost anything to write and submit articles, except time. Edit: Oh wait, I forgot about the $10 bucks or so I spent to register a domain with godaddy, which is the redirect domain to my hoplink.
Thanks for the post alexs464, I've started using BM, and like anything in life you need to put in the effort. It makes sense that the more quality articles you have out there, the better you will do, even if you don't make a whole lot out of each individual article. Hopefully, I'll see some results soon...
Well what I suggest in this case: Pick 10 products on CB, write 2 articles for each, when you see a particular product get more sales (or any sales at all) - concentrate on it. Spend 1 full day on researching the product, if you can afford - purchase it. Research your niche and keywords. research your competitors - then write articles. After You have written 10 articles on the same niche - you will know so much about it, you will be able to easily write 50 more... 3-4 articles per hour... That's how I do it.
