I'm looking forward to the results- actually I can't wait :) Like I said before, I'm doing something similar but it's my first month of affiliate marketing ( ever ) so I'm not a good subject but since my first sale 12 days ago I've made $338 from bumming. I'm feeling pretty optimistic and expect outstanding results from your "crazy" experiment

$338 is pretty good for your first month... was that from 1 sale?

My first sale day was a little over a $100. then the next was $30 something. A couple no sale days. then a $116 all within 12 days- This is day 12 now and I'm actually really worried about receiving my check.

I have more than 5 credit card payment on the 16th but no mastercard - Today I finally got a mastercard purchase and looked up the paycheck tab on clickbank but it's saying I haven't fulfilled my requirements.

I don't know if I'll be getting the check on the 1st or not.. Don't mean to steal the thread, but if anyone knows anything...

Actually I'm editing this because my total has just become $375 :)

This thread needs closure so I thoughts I'd share a little bum marketing experiment I'm going to be starting right now. I'm going to write 50 articles straight. No sleep and no stopping at 49. So the the experiment is to see how much cash this will get me when I submit them and how quickly. Also I've made sure all my pending articles have been submitted over the weekend and there isn't much to screw with my results.

Give me coffee and curiosity and I'll give you 50 articles in under 48 hours.

Maybe it's not the most comprehensive experiment. But by God and why not and to each his own and other cliches.

While it's a decent experiment (and not trying to dogg it in any way), your quality is going to diminish after write a few articles. I'd say once you hit 10 straight in a row, that's enough before your quality lowers.

More power to you if you can do it. I've wrote 10 articles straight before, but could see my quality dimishing after the 6th or 7th article. Maybe if you have different 10 different niches and you write 5 for each, then you might be able to keep the quality up throughout the articles. I usually try to write between 3-8 articles each day, as it gives me more time to use other methods of promotion with those articles once they get accepted at Ezine.

    Good luck!

You know, if you sit next to the computer 24 hours, without going to the toilet, having breakfast/lunch/dinner, sleeping, then you can write hundreds of articles.

But the question is: Is it really worth it?

By right 50 articles will take 8hrs and 20 minutes. Assuming it takes you 10 minutes per article. That assumes you already know the niche pretty well and can write like that.

Research obviously adds time to the clock.

You also need to include physical breaks, bathroom breaks, eating breaks and most important mental breaks. Your brain will be handicapped by the end.

50 in 48hrs is totally doable, since you can break it up into 4 separate chunks.

    Day 1
    12.5 morning
    12.5 evening

    day 2
    12.5 morning
    12.5 evening

2 reasons to do this. 1 for the traffic which equals money ( and yes this can be argued because it is better to do a steady number of articles daily ) and 2 because you need to break past a mental barrier.

If I can write 50 articles in a block of time then that changes my beliefs and experiences about what I can do. This is a way of leveling up and is leveling up ever not worth it?

I would suggest a race to 50 articles but if it was successful then the whole article writing thing would get way out of hand

You should start a thread. I'm very interested in how well you do and how/when/if you make any sales. I'm not a bum marketer because I really hate writing and I'm horrible at it but if this shows me good results I would have to try it out.

I agree. There is no formula, just work harder and work more than the average people.
I believe I can make my goal.

work harder than most people to reap the results-basic work to succeed motto, but when there's other peoples mistakes to learn from I'd choose following those over making my own. Though personal experimentation is a fundamental building block-actually there wouldn't ever be any innovation without it- there is a substitute: mooch of other peoples experiences. And that doesn't have to be a bad thing.

But you still have to try on those ideas and play with them, see if they fit your style-hence my 50 article experiment.

Speaking of which, I'll update tomorrow with the good results because I've already overshot my goal. The next update will be when the articles get published and money rolls in.

Sorry for my vulgar abuse of my update promises: I was waiting for my articles to get published and since I'm a platinum member that means a few days from money, I've still got 20 getting published tomorrow which is one of the little surprises of this little personal experiment.

I completed 80 articles in 48 hours and posted them all at once. It's Tuesday now (day 2 according to ezines) and most of my articles have been published.
I don't want to report any preliminary skirmishes regarding how much money this brought me. Not yet anyway. End of the week, or at least when the articles get published.

No matter, I still feel great about managing that many posts
