I'm still new to clickbank, so far all I use is Adwords, I have a number of products advertised but technically I only have about one main one running becos the costs of the others are so expensive that they're more or less disabled. So far I've just about broken even with my one (somewhat) successful product. Obviously I want to come out ahead and hopefully double or triple or whatever my costs. I don't know if anyone has any advice there, I spose I should find smaller products to promote. My main question I suppose as to why I started this thread in the first place is to ask if there has been a thread on bum marketing or if anyone has had a tutorial/tips for newbies on all of the different ways to promote products that doesn't cost money. Didn't find much in a search so if anybody can help I'd really appreciate it. Thanks and happy holidays!
forums posting, answer websites - yahoo answers, google answers etc - make 2 accounts.. 1 account asks the question, the other answers the question an puts in your aff link
Hi, Have you read the following thread? http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=457865 I learn a lot from that thread, I hope it can help you too if you haven't read it. It's about one of DP Member that trying the Bum Marketing.
You may focus EzineArticles.com to promote your ClickBank's affiliate products. This method really works!!
i dont like ezine, the editors sometimes dont approve articles for weird reasons and then it takes way too long to get approved. I would start with Squidoo blogging and writing reviews on squidoo.
I am sorry to inform you that Google Answers has been closed for a few years. I just wanted to make this link live. This is a very good thread for you to read. I don't know if you will read the whole thing but there is a lot of great informative posts in that thread.
So i'm reading along with the journey so far, good stuff, it's quite exciting! Stupid question though...I suppose for bum marketing you need your own website, correct? It seems to me that the reason being for that is because you can't put your affiliate link, which redirects them to the sales page and inserts your hoplink, in your articles anywhere, as it's against the rules? I haven't written any articles yet, it's just my impression that i'm getting from the article marketing journey thread so far. If that's the case, and in your articles you can only put in links to your own website and from there people go through the specific links, where can I find info about signing up for my own website, setting it up like others, and all that? Thanks so much.
Some people instead of setting up a whole website they just buy a domain name. It could be .info which are cheaper or whatever. You then have that domain name redirect to the site that you are promoting (with your hoplink) and if someone buys then you get the commission. If you want to go the whole mile then you can upload a simple free software like wordpress.com and promote the product through that. There is yet another option eZine does not allow you to post an affiliate link in the article. However there are other article directory sites which do allow you. If I am not mistaken www.goarticles.com allows you to do that. In short you have options.
These three are the biggest article directories: 1. www.goarticles.com 2. www.ezinearticles.com 3. www.articlecity.com
Yeah...I just did a setup like this for myself in the last couple days. I bought a .info domain for under 5 bucks. I just set up the domain to forward to my affiliate page that promotes the Clickbank product (just fowarded to my hoplink). Now I'm ready to write articles for EzineArticles and include my link. Very easy, and I hear it works like a charm. There are a lot of success threads about DP.
Bum Marketing takes patience & time. If you write 10 articles a day for 3 months you might start seeing results, but remember to be patient. Otherwise expect the ordinary - a few dollars here and there.
You really have to be patient with Bum Marketing, I am writing articles and blogs for a week already, and I have not got any results so far. I am going to continue writing for about a month, and then I will stop and wait for results. I am writing 3-5 articles and blogs a day.
Ain't it a bitch? The day you realize that instead of paying for advertising, there are simple resources and systems in place for you/those that have some time and will There are quite a few ways to utilize less spend/no spend in this game. All the above posts and advice are relevant, and the Pony thread IS awesome Some things to note for you, perhaps they might work faster: Articles: Not that difficult, main priority is to set a gameplan and STICK TO IT! 1. Get a .info (or 2-3-5) that are relevant to the products you are promoting, forward them to your hoplink as suggested above, piece of cake! 2. Create an account at ezinearticles and goarticles (prweb is nice too). 3. Create an account at blogger, wordpress, squidoo 4. Create an account on AS MANY social, video, bookmarking sites as you can (there are tools and systems to submit to them all at once later). 5. Set your campaign on paper/word doc... - "I WILL WRITE: 3 articles a day for ezine, change up 2 of them for goarticles, and 1 press release (when relevant). I will digg/blog/stumble 4 times a day, I will make silly videos or use the vendors videos on 5-10 sites asap.." If you follow your own set path, and truly commit to it - YOU WILL MAKE MONEY. Can't say I'm fond of doing the above as a publisher, however my affiliates that spread their bum marketing out like above see the most return (some even better then the PPC'ers). My last successful campaign though with trying the above, I only had 2 articles aimed at FatLoss4Idiots, and they generated over a)$400 b)$600 so it is more than possible, and if I kept writing I know it would have stayed steady until today. You really have to commit, my strengths are elsewhere however if I didn't have those strengths I would be writing my ass off for at least 3-4 hours a day. I have contacts that have upwards of 1000+ articles, videos, blogs, other assets on various sites and make nice return from past efforts over and over again with much less submitting now... At this point, is where you learn to play with your money and PPC along with library of automated past efforts. * Always use keywords in your title, and throughout your writing in various ways. * Always fill out the author box with strong calls to action to your .com * Always WRITE WELL, a constant typo or grammar mistake throughout your marketing will look poor downstream, as will uninteresting reads. * Never be intrusive - no 'click here now' 'buy now cheapy cheapy for you', instead 'for full details and your complimentary xx feel free to visit...' or 'for part 2 of this article/video etc. visit..' create interest not dictation. * Always offer an opt-in even on your landing pages, every visitor that comes and goes could have potentially been retained with your efforts on auto-pilot - it's silly not to list build/auto-follow up with incentive. All the best, keep your course with commitment and I can assure you will make money. NC.
Bum Marketing really takes time and sometimes I just want to stop, when I write about 5 articles a day and see no results.
Bum marketing really does work. I am one of the fortunate ones who dont have a list but get daily sales. My only problem is that I dont know if I am writing too much. When I use to write one article a month I saw the same sort of sales as I now do writing 20 articles a month. I dont get it! Can someone share. I do want to take my sales up. why wouldn't I?
1.When you say you see no results, does that mean no traffic? No sales? 2. Is bum marketing the only thing you are doing to promote? 3. Did you have success with your product before trying different things? I really want to know because I'm just starting out as well(see sig). I use free blogs and articles a little over a week no sales yet. But the amount of hops look promising.
I would advise you to avoid Adwords when just starting out in the internet marketing world, unless you have wads of cash to burn. It's better to teach yourself the fundamentals, on a low budget, before having to pay for a bunch of traffic to poorly converting landing pages.
I did the whole adwords thing and got zilch, I only made google richer. When I decided to try article marketing, I immediately saw results. It takes no time at all for me to get traffic and sales. Now all I do is article marketing, nothing else. I do submit my articles to as many sites as I can. I make sure to have a good saturation of key words inside my article and in the title. I dont do anything besides article writing to get sales and depend on it too. So it works, it helps to have a website that converts well. Another thing about article marketing you have to have a technique, you cant just write an article and get sales. You have to know these things first 1) what problem does the reader have. List those problems 2) Give them a cue as to why they are still having that problem. 3) Then you list the benefits of having the write product ...but you never give alway the solution. You tell them how they will benefit. Make them feel the pain then tell them how much pleasure they will have when the pain goes away but let them yearn for the full solutuion. This is when you hit them with a good resourse box. No boring Jamie Smart is the author of blah blah blah.... instead something like this will help: "Read the 9 solutions to ____found in Jamie Smart's fantastic blog. Find the easy solution to ________ and be on your way to happiness and joy." who would not click through on that????
