Been reading a lot recently about bum marketing, the use of article submission sites to advertise you link, usually to a presale page and then onward to your clickbank sale. What i would like to know tho is can you make a lot of money this way and what kinda figure of articles do you need to submit in order to get the traffic?

    Heres what i usually do:
Find a niche with low gravity that i see a gap in the market on, make a website on the niche with pages preselling the item but also giving out little bits of teaser information you can get free on the net to build some trust.
I then submit this site to 2k directories over 30 days and submit to 30+ social sites and maybe make one or 2 hub pages on the subject as well linking to my site and the product.

From doing this in the last 20 days i have made $146 thats... $7 a day which is notbad i guess, however, i do not use article marketing is this a mistake?

submit to ezine and who else?
how many articles is best? i know how to do keyword research on micro niches and have done so for local businesses online... i just always htought articles are a bit... low authority and distrustful.

It only depends on how much money you want to make every month and scale up as you go on with your project. It requires quality and ambition though.

Article marketing is the first thing you should be doing. TRUST ME. The difference between you making $146 in 20 days and you making $10,000 in 20 days only comes down to two things. How much value are you offering? AND How wide spread is it. This means you not only need to have articles that link to your moneypages all over but also be on multiple web 2.0 sites such as squidoo, hubpages.com, vox, etc.

    Good luck! :)

Well i actually want to make enough money so that i dont have to work whilst im at uni.

If i could have it my way id want to make $100 a day so i was thinking maybe i should use every tool possible... but was not sure if putting articles on article directories is beter than having the article on my own site, since ezines gets authority i guess it is better there :S

What do you do is my secondary question i guess :)

    Thank you for reading,

Having a goal and building towards that is awesome. So many people give up in the early stages. Good luck!

Not only should you build backlinks to your site but you should build backlinks to your ezine article too, they can quickly rise to the top of Google for main keywords!

I just do one ezine article for a "bum" site and earn from adsense and More Niche.
