Hey guys! I know it's been done before, but people (me included) really seem to love following the journey of an aspiring "bum marketer". I've decided to create my own quest, with a few goals in mind. I would love to build a community around it, and I truly have a great feeling about this... Why? The best reason is the fact that I have absolutely ZERO excuses! I'm single, I live alone in a nice apartment, and I have all the free time in the world (I work from home). I know bum marketing can be a successful venture, and I've been looking for additional passive income streams, so why the heck not, right? I've created a blog that will document my journey, which you can find at: Bum1000.Com Obviously (if you couldn't tell by the title), my goal is to have 1000 articles submitted and live, which link back to a page promoting a Clickbank product. You can find out more in the first blog post (goals, ideas, plans), and I truly hope some of you who are interested will follow along! It was motivating to me to read other peoples stories (even if they didn't succeed), and I thought I could bring the same feeling to those who are interested. So, join me if you want. Or just pop in from time to time. I'll occasionally update this thread, but 99% of progress will be documented on my blog. Thanks, and best of luck to us all!
Good luck with your quest mate . Are you that confident about this product ? After all we are talking about 1000 of articles Once again good luck Mega
Hey thanks Megarudy! I apologize - I should have clarified that the 1000 articles will be spread across many niches. It would be quite hard to string up 1000 articles for one product! hehe... Anyway, thanks again for your support, and best of luck to you as well!
Rock on Shamus... that's the way to go my friend... MASSIVE action yields good results in bum marketing...I'll bookmark your blog and drop by every now and then ;-) McrTech
Thanks buddy! I really appreciate it! I just got a blog set up tonight that I'm going to use for the landing pages. I'm going to put some extra effort into them to make sure they push the customer to the affiliate site - but subtly (as opposed to aggressively). I'm so pumped to get this going, and thanks again for your support
Great! I love people with ambition! And, agreed with bl4ckmaN^, it's always good to have a plan I actually got myself a copy of Who Loves Money by Kyle and Carson yesterday and I've been hearing only great stuff about it. So... I'm gonna drop my bumming business and just work on this... But yeah, good luck man!
Hello, Well Done on starting your journey. I'll be interested to see how you progress. I've bookmarked your blog.
Awesome! I will make sure to follow your quest! 1000 articles? Man, you're on fire! Best of luck, Alex
hey thanks all!!! Always nice to wake up to a thread full of replies It officially starts tomorrow, and I'm going to put a counter up on the blog somewhere to keep track of the amount of articles - sorta like a countdown of sorts. Anyway, thanks again for all of your encouraging replies, and best of luck to us all!
Yes that is what I thought he was saying at first. That would be MASSIVE. All efforts concentrated on ONE product. HOWEVER it would have to be his own Clickbank product because they control the ability to do whatever so you might have 1000 articles with the same link and they all go to a re-directed site. I suppose forwarding a domain to it would work.
Sounds like a plan, Shamus. I love a good action-oriented plan. So since you're doing this now from the ground up, I'd like to propose something. How about an open partnership? By open I mean no strings attached, two minds collaborating (until there is cashflow from both our efforts). I am launching something of my own as well and trying to do something new. I am almost sure I could figure out a way to fuel your idea and fuse our ideas together. Plus it helps to have someone counting on you (on both ends). This might not appeal to you so feel free to say no. I'm just throwing it out there because I like to network (see sig) and I like new projects. I'm wondering how many people are kicking themselves for not jumping in on google day one. I am confident in people who are confident in themselves, so what do you say? If interest is at all peaked PM me and I'll give you some details about my new venture. (havent fully launched it yet). Enough to let you know what direction I"m going. I could even help writing some articles if proper credit was given. But not trying to jump in your idea, this is just an extended hand. I wouldn't expect money from you and hope you wouldn't expect any from me. I just want great minds to create something and we could both benefit from profits in the long run.
Thanks for the compliments karatellsall, I'll definitely consider your ideas - who knows, maybe we could come up with something. Drop me a PM when you get time and give me the scoop For everyone else - today was the first real day of submissions. I managed to get 8 articles submitted, for a total of 9 all together. Due to the fact that I had a few other articles in there from the past, I've reached my submission limit, and I'm waiting for approval for an upgraded account. So in the mean time, I'll be writing articles for the next round of submissions. Obviously not much to report so far. I'll let you know if anything happens. Thanks!
