Does anyone know of a bulk URL checker tool that can check whether a given set of URLs has been indexed? I want to check the URLs in a sitemap to see how many of them have been indexed. Thanks.
I use SEO Spyglass, by far the best link checker around and free if you dont need to check more then 1000 links.
Definitely SEO SpyGlass, now that Blekko is added you get thousands of links: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2011090
Google can help you, and backlinkwatch.com may also help you either! It is really a nice tool to check links.
I’m not sure where SEOspyglass comes in to this. It is good for checking backlinks to a url but unless I’m missing something you cannot enter a list of urls and ask it to check if they have been indexed? Google Webmaster Tools can tell you how many pages are indexed but it won’t give you a list of them. I’m assuming the site is your own otherwise it won’t help you at all. There is program called Scrapebox which apparently does have the bulk index checker you are looking for but it isn’t free. One free option I can suggest is that you type site: followed by your domain name (without the www.) as a google search (for example site:yoursite.com) and you will see all the pages that google has indexed. You could then manually check them against your sitemap. However, I appreciate that if there are a large number of urls involved this could take a long time. Can I ask why you want to do this anyway?
