I advice register at a reseller service, then bulk purchase a bit slot, you will be around $5.00 or lower for .com If you dont care about extension then i might get you super cheap.
Where did you see $5 per domain? Cheapest rates around are about $7.5 per domain with reseller accounts. eNom, Moniker, godaddy, any is fine. I use fabulous.com - but it's not easy to get a reseller accounts for new members now.
I use Godaddy with coupon code when i brought 10 .com domains. Small discount but still that is money. Godaddy is a big registrar company.
maybe someone could also explain how does a domain reseller works? because i think it's going to be a good tip for jplayer. but then it might be hard for us, newbies to understand how it works :]
