Bulk or batch save images with slight changes?

Hey guys,

I'm looking for software that would allow me to make minor changes to an image and save each variation.

I use photoshop now and here is what i'm doing:

layer 1 is a picture
layer 2 is a small, solid fill color covering the bottom half of the picture in layer 1.
layer 3 is a text layer with words on top of the solid color in layer 2.

I want to change the color on layer 2 and change the font type on layer 3 several times and with each change have the files saved as .JPG into the same folder.

The end result is having hundreds of pictures with different colors and fonts which are on top of the same picture (layer 1).

Please help if you know of any software that can do this. PS - i've tried and tried to achieve this with a photoshop cs6 scripts and batch with no success! Thanks for your help guys.
