Hi, We have got a database of over 1 million email addresses, that we are planning to use for a product launch. I have never done bulk emailing before so have no idea about how it all works. Could anyone give me some sound advise on how to go about it, various pitfalls, recommended software to use etc. May thanks
How clean is the list? If it isn't too clean I wouldn't use your mail servers. Most likely you would get blacklisted part way though the broadcast. Also I would send them out in chunks so your server does go down. And with out a doubt make sure you have an automatic way to deal with the many types of bounces and unsubscribe people.
I would shy away from bulk emailing, unless they specifically signed up on your website, people are very quick to submit spammers. Also if you go through with it, it would definetley be a good idea not to use your server to send the emails.
Hi, Quality bulk email software is expensive, I have copys of several that cost $1200-$2000. The $2000 software will block you from getting identified, and losing your ISP. maybe you could PM me for a more info... or.. use www.123hiddensender.com service. -RonMo
Are you talking about unsolicited e-mail (aka - spam) from a purchased list or an actual list that you built via an in house e-mail capture system from your site visitors? If it is unsolicited, check this out... "A man has been sentenced to nine years in jail by a Virginia judge for sending millions of junk emails, or "spamming"...http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4426949.stm
Hi I have just set up a new website. The ultimate ebook package. You might find some useful resources in there. I would be willing to let you have it for free if you included a small review of the package in one of your newsletters. You could even join the affiliate program and use that in your newsletter
unsolicited email will probably not get you much of a positive response. Not only that but as I understand, most people who send unsolicited email do it in much larger numbers, 100s of millions of emails in order to get any kind of cash flowing to their bank accounts. If it is opt-in then that should be a totally different story. But I have one question, even if you are sending that many opt-in emails, how would you avoid tripping any of the anti-spam filters? If an ISP saw that many emails from one source, they would probably assume it's spam, even if it's not.
I also would like to use bulk mailing to launch a new product, but do not have much of emails to send and not sure how to do it properly, even after some very valuable advices here. I would like to invite people who do know how to join me on commission basis that are fully trackable. if interested contact me privately.
