I've recently come across several bulk email marketing firms. They promise to send out millions of emails on your behalf. (CAN-SPAM compliant they claim). What I find curious is how some offer this service for $30 per million while others charge $500 per million. Are these service firms legit? Are they even effective? What's your experience with this?
My experience with this is they are a scam... While they do send out the emails as they advertise, what they don't tell you (most email services won't) is they email to thier own opt-ins which are a general audience who already get massive amounts of messages from thier system. Don't waste your money.
Never tried but zaccaria makes a good point. If it's not targeted it's not going to do much. Usually if it sounds to good to be true......... It is.. Have you ever thought about setting up your own sites to collect emails? GD
Just what Zaccaria said, don't waste your money on this. Most of the emails send is not even your target market. You better built your own list and send them the right way. - Dynashox -
i used to do it quite a lot but only with emails i had acquired myself from my own email list, thanks
You're not going to get that with bulk email companies... Unless you want to put in the time and effort to build your own lists, I'd try another form of Advertising.
What is a scam? What company are you talking about? Ok I understand: If it sounds too good to be true. Makes sense and I agree. But I am still waiting for an answer on specifics: A company offers to send 100,000,000 emails for $3000... What is the catch here? What is the effective result? (And regarding targeting: Some even offer to target the emails for extra fee)
My friend, don't waste your money... All Bulk email services use non-targeted audiences which generate very little results (if any at all)... If you are serious about advertising, then check my signature below.
OMG are you a 12 year old kid Zaccaria? Answer my question mate or get lost. You are starting to annoy!
Haven't read other peoples replies, but here is the short answer: no. ...and here is the long answer: noooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Forget they exist and never think about them again. Bulk email companies send out a ton of emails to people who don't want your emails and won't read your emails. That's "the catch". They're a waste of time, money and brain resources.
What are you talking about? I DID answer your question... Above I clearly stated that all Bulk email companies use general audiences that are NOT TARGETED opt-ins. And companies that say they offer it are lying. I've tried many of them before and I'm telling you from experience that they will just take your money and not deliver the results you want. If you're looking for some Ligitimacy, then you're wasting you're time. There's no way of telling weather or not they truely follow the Can-Spam act, which is why in my view, the act was a total waste of time to us business owners (And possibly just another way of Congress attempting to Tax the Internet).
Ok fair enough I understand your points but I have no specifics here about companies. Take for example: http://www.americaint.com/ They have been in business since 1997... Their lists come from REAL websites including the like of WashingtonPost.com: All opt-in emails available through our daily feed originate from a vast network consisting of hundreds of partner websites. An example of data counts over a 30 day period (1 Month Subscription) are displayed below. Please note: Total counts and data sources listed below may vary from month to month. So are they legit? If not then how come they have been around for 10 years? And I can assure you if its only scam they are doing then they'd have plenty of court cases against them, no? On the other hand I can see what sounds more fish like this company: http://www.mailmillions.com/ But again no specific NEGATIVE reviews anywhere... Nobody crying out "fraud" anywhere... So if you are so against these why don't you give me some specifics on your experience that I can understand?
Okay, giorgioarmani why don't you just go through with a purchase then? You're obviously concerned that you'll waste your money and that should be enough. Bulk email services do not work. They might be perfectly legal and be double opt-in but it's as good as spam because no one wants your email. It's better to find people with smaller niche, but targeted lists at a site like http://www.directoryofezines.com then for a small fee you're allowed to email a ton of different targeted lists.
people say this works ive tried it before and recived very little hits to my websites over the years and spent $$$ ive worked on a list of about 200k email addresses over the last year gathering them and still have YET to find a programme to email them its just one big pain pay a company and get nothing in return accept complaints to your website spend years makin a list and no tools to send emails if the tool does it goes to junk mail
I probably shouldn't post an offer in a thread here, but since I don't want people throwing thier money down the toilet, I must point out that I have an Ad Agency bookmarkeed in my signature that runs off a very trusted Network that does deliver results. I highly reccommend you explore this before paying for bulk emails... If you become interested, then send me a PM and we'll talk from there.
