Bulding links

What are the best way of promoting a site, and where can I do it....
I don't want to pay for advertising and I am not looking for fast progress I just want a site with a good flow of traffic

Start by looking in some previous post, there are lots of great tips already discussed here...

 

Link Exchanges are a good way to start .. look around for sites that complement yours.

 

I would suggest to look at your competition and check their backlinks, see where they get their traffic from and duplicate what they do.

 

... and then expand on it!

 

Put links in your signature on forums like this

 

I'm new to the link exchanging business, but I have found that I can build links successfuly by finding a relevant website and forming a link exchange - then look at the other websites that they link exchange with and request an exchange from them - then look at the other websites that they link exchange with and request an exchange from them - then look at the other websites that they link exchange with and request an exchange from them.

It's a turgid and thankless task, but I have found it is slowly increasing visitors.
