building websites that earn without updates.

i have build several hundred sites(mostly blogger) in the past and deleted them. Most of them earned good money for a week or so when I concentrated on them. but when i think i have done enough for it i stop working on it and move on to a new site. and in a few days that website is not making any money.

then i started making sites seriously. i made a site will lot of articles and link to it. i was earning a really good amount from it. it was getting great trafic from the search engines. then for about a month i did not update it did not do any link building for it because i moved on to a new site. it stopped making money.

so my question is, is there any way to build sites that keep on earning money without having the need to update them? as most of my sites are not blogs i can't update them once all the related content is put.

 

You can make some informational websites and continue to make some money off of it.

I find that the best way to keep making money is to update sites.

 

In theory, if you had exactly 7 sites, you could spend 1 day each week adding new articles and doing SEO. Instead of continually making new sites, focus on a select few that have potential to make good money. I have applied this concept and have sold most of my sites. Now I am concentrating on only one website.

 

Think from users point of view . If the site contains content that might be useful and informative to a viewer reading it in 2020 then it will keep on making money .

 

Yes there are many sites that make money without updates. You can check the following

1. Proxy site
2. Site providing some image manipulation tool online.
3. Site providing some tools related to web designing ... like fonts, javascripts, etc...

I guess you got an idea of what I mean... provide some free service.

 

Blogs are hard to keep making money without regular updates.
You can always build other type of sites.

 

you can start a forum. because members will update it.

 

cant take the easy route to make money.

 

It's hard(not impossible) to earn decent money from a forum

 

Invent a unique service that everyone will want to use.

Just keep building back links, and your sites will continue to make money.

 

Continuous update is one of the most important facts to be kept in mind so that you will be always in the limelight of the search engines. If not, your SERP will fall and traffic down and eventually the money earned will go down. If you have other sources for traffic (other than search engines), then you need not bother about updating the contents

 

I made the same thing six months ago.I left 2 blogs that made me some good money and I focused just to another one to update daily,seo,etc.Of course,this 2 blogs stopped -no money,no traffic.I start again updating all my blogs.

 

Ive never built a site yet that i wont or cant update, its like anything you must feed it to keep it alive, stop feeding your website with content and most will die.

The search engines begin to visit less when they see you dont add new content too, nothing new for them to index.

 

I have small niche sites that dont need anything.. they just make money.. Google love aged domains...

 

I hardly ever update any of my sites and they continue to receive visitors and bangers and mash from G.
Just build backlinks now and again.
You just need the right nitch that isnt too competitive.

 

Well update is the main quest to go since everyone want some news about the stuffs they got interested.

 

You could probably have a static site but it would have to have a lot of decent content on the pages for people to want to visit it without updates.
