I have had this forum High School Student up and running for quite sometime now but cant seem to get that much action going. Any help would be aprreciated on how I can get it bigger whether tips on advertising or anything would be terrific thanks in advance
Search Engines are the only sources where we can get good traffic. Google gives me only 2-4 visitors everyday just like gives 2 bananas to 7 days hungry monkey. I wanna eat that much until my belly not blast. But it’s not possible. Once you bit Search Engine, you'll be on top.
yea I did that but not sure on how I can use Myspace to get people, like should I make a page and add tons of people but the how do I connect them to my forum?
Does your forums have things that let them interact like point system and live chat? These are some of the things that teenagers and kids nowadays prefer.
well i added an arcade to the forum, and yea thats a good idea to add a point system or something cool and competitive of that sort. any other suggestions would definitely be apprectiated!
Are you in high school yourself? If so print up some flyers and tape them all up all around your school. Go to sporting events or other functions at other schools and do the same. Where do kids hang out in your town? Cafe, skate park, sandwich shop...? Put flyers up there too. Write some awesome articles and post them as threads and then submit them to article directories. Add links on your myspace page and facebook page. Tell all your friends on there what your site is about. Add a link to your site in the signature of your emails.
thats very good advice, i guess it has to be school appropriate content however since it will be posted around school. more advice anyone?! especially regarding advertising online
The point system sounds like it would work well; especially if you giveaway free ringtones or something for highest points. Maybe adding sections like "The Lunch Room", "Recess", "Detention Hall", etc would add more flavor. Recruit local high school kids to get the word out.
Just Googled "high school forums" There are lots of other high school forums and messages boards you could post to and let them know about your forum.

Well the first off... I checked out you're forum and it looks completely fake. You're not connecting at all it looks like a 50 year old is trying to go back in time.

Yeah you can talk a bit but not a lot. Well there's always things like PSPs and text-messaging. lol Are you from the 70s? Just wondering. I like the music from those times. The cool times.
