This Saturday, I migrated from Blogger to a hosted Wordpress based solution. The site now resides on its own domain at http://buildingtheergonomicguitar.com. The difference is astounding - I have so much more functionality and power at my fingertips. As a result, the site has undergone some major changes in terms of aesthetics and functionality. Much of it is under the hood but there are a number of things that should improve things for the reader. For example, readers can now subscribe to comments, comments are now threaded so you can reply to a specific comment, and I've included the Top Commentators plugin to reward readers who participate in the discussions. I'm looking for feedback on anything and everything - aesthetics, functionality, placement of sidebar content, etc. Thanks for taking a look! Regards, Robert
I think the header design looks too plain, try using a maroon header color with the same gradient style that you have on it at the moment.
The site is great both in content and design but it is shifted to the left in Mozilla browser so that the left edge of the text is out of the screen.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm still playing with the header design. I actually have a few things I'm working on but didn't want to hold up the migration because of it. Meanwhile, at least with the large text header, there's no mistaking what the blog is about. Regards, Robert
Thanks for the compliment! Interesting. I've tested the site in IE, Firefox, Safari and Opera and seen no issues. I'll have to check it out further. Thanks! Regards, Robert
