Building links to other peoples directory

I have several sites that are all theme related (over 40 of them). The problem I have is that they are all in the same datacenter on dedicated machines. I understand that building links between them isn’t a good strategy since they are all on the same class c network. I am submitting them all to different directories now and plan to build deep links into the categories where my sites are listed so that they PR will flow from site A (my site) to the directory then out to Site B, etc. Some of these sites are PR4's and PR5's. I will never build a deep link from any of the sites to a directory that has the same referring link in the directory so that it doesn’t appear as a two way link. Has anyone tried this or does anyone have an opinion?

    You totally lost me there....

Ok, re-reading it for the second time....I generally try my best to avoid linking to directories unless it's a niche directory with a good editorial and categorial system...

what you are saying above is a bit too complicated and likely to take a lot of time and something I personally would avoid. What I am concerned about is when you say you want to link to directories (directories get easily spammed and die every now and then..) Also, for the weight google puts on links from these diectories it is not worth the extra time and effort you want to spend on it. Linking to a banned site will bring undesired results to your site so...best avoid linking to directories.(unless it's dmoz ;))

Try to look at other 3 way link building stuff or just focus on getting more one way inbound links through article submissions, directory submissions, blog comments, forum posts and so on...
