Dont think about rapid link building.....Exchange some 10-20 links per day with other sites... It is good....
Banned, or just punished? I thought that rapid link-building really just penalized you up front, during the "sandbox" period.
I got just over 10K links for one site in a little over a month, Google slapped it this update and lost all its PR etc. The site was established (6 years old) so its not just new/sandboxed sites.
Directory submissions is a good one... If you outsource the submission work or if you sit in front of your computer and submits to a 10000 sites, the directories usually accepts/reject your site in different time frame..... So you dont need to worry about the rapid link building problem...
Directory submission is good option. You can also do article submission, social bookmarking and blog posting.
I wouldn't suggest exchanging links.. One way links are the best and you can build more like 500-1000 a day with zero problems if the links are all related.
"slow and steady wins the race" same applies here, get 10-15 links/day at the end of the month you have 300+ links
Yeah I didn't want like 10,000 links a day... I guess I just meant getting your PR to go up quicker. The best way as I understand it is to get back-links. We haven't done any back link trades except for directories which have been working very well. Thanks for all your replies!
Yup this is the number of what I was thinking. Be sure to do link exchanges and to have them relating to your site. Blog networks would help as long as they are not to large. But it appears many of the blogs got hit hard in the last update. So choose your methods carefully,
I believe in link exchanging....... I got PR5 in 6 months using this method...... It costs nothing to me.... I just created account in 3 link exchanging sites...... They have paid plans, but I used free plan... In this plan we have limits; like we can only exchange/request 10-15 links per day...... I sent out total 15x3=45 requests per day continuously for 3 months...... Then I got tired and did not frequently used link exchanging.... In the mean time site got PR3 and within 3 months it got PR5....... The PR5 is now dropped to PR3 due to some advertising in my site....But I really got success the link exchanging things.... and I really believe it will help us to improve our rankings....... And if you use free services, it will cost you nothing........
Building links too fast is a sure fire way to lose your position in the serps. Been there done that. Submit to article/web directories and you will be fine. Once you have a solid base of backlinks, you will be able to add more links faster using other techniques.
Rapid link building really does not achieve any short term results and certainly causes you more harm than good. The post about setting up 10 - 20 links per day is a good one and some ways to accomplish this is to submit articles through article directories, send out news releases, reach out to link directories (watch their PR). Think you will be better off over time.
