Building links from your own sites, what is best?

    Hello

I currently have around 50 sites running and almost all of them are built by a script that i have created.

With this script i can easily change all of my pages design at once. I have a change to all of the pages that i need to do and at the same time I plan to add 5 random links (I specify which links and they are randomized by the script) to my other sites at the bottom of each page (in order to build links to the site). The total number of pages is estimated to around 1.000.000 (if that matters).

My question is now, which of these options is the best one:

    • Only have links to the mainpage of the site (randomizing between the 50 www.sitename.com links) to increase PR.

    • Have links to other pages than the mainpage to help search engines get to remote places on the other sites.

Which of these options will get me the best end result (sites indexed in search engines and increase in visitors)?

Can i get penitilized by the search engines for doing any of the options?

    Thanks for answers.

    BRs
