Building Links and Making Money

    OK, here's a site that's really cool.

The concept is basically this: you create an account and create content pages (including links to your other websites). You'll then want to make this your home page as it also includes a Google Search bar and Google Ads that are relevant to YOUR content pages.

The site is built so that you enter your Adsense account information but will never end up clicking on YOUR OWN ad - so it's safe for Google's Adsense Policies.

It's working really well, I'm making money and I'm building links back to my other sites.

Check it out: Link Building and Revenue Sharing Site

Let me know what you think and how it works for you.

If this is in any way (you made it sound that way before you edited your post) a "click exchange network", it is against the Adsense TOS and you could get your adsense account banned.

Also, many pages there have practically nothing on them except adsense ads. That too is probably against the adsense TOS.

It's definitely not a click exchange network. It's about developing content. Content that YOU control and can provide relevant anchor text links to your own sites...that's what's so great about the concept.

The link you're talking about is only one of MANY links. If you don't want to participate... you don't have to. I just thought it was a cool concept.

I don't know, but it clearly states here the following :

"No Google ad may be placed on pages published specifically for the purpose of showing ads, whether or not the page content is relevant."

And, on the http://www.rummage4money.com/ homepage, the authors state :

"By creating detailed pages that link to your site, you will be creating content pages that will display revenue generating ads. Rummage4Money.com uses Google AdSense to automatically serve relevant ads for the content that members create. Google pays AdSense publishers on a per click basis. If a Rummage4Money.com member enter their Google AdSense pub information, the members Google AdSense ads will displayed thoughout the Rummage4Money.com site as long as the member is an active user."

of course, isn't that what we all do with adsense?

so maybe, "if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is."

PCDOC, you raise a good point...and ultimately, The content on Rummage4Money is much like all the content-rich websites out there that display Google Ads.

I created the site, and it not set up to be a click exchange. I know it isn't being used that way either. Otherwise, I would be making money. Sure I am sharing the revenue but I still should make the most.

It was set up to be a directory. I took it a bit farther and let people add detailed content pages. I don't think people really understand that you can add these detailed pages yet.

I would say that only about 30% of the people who have signed up have entered Adsense information.

Other reasons I created the site. Anyone with an adsense account has created a page and thought dang I would really like to click on that ad. This site lets you create pages that are of interest to you, and if something strikes you, you could click on the ad. You don't know who makes the money and you don't know if you will ever make any. Also you can link to your favorite sites and get the latest yahoo new on categories that interest you.

Sure it could happen that someone clicks a bunch of times on a ad but that could happen on any site.

It is/was a funny little hobby the last few months.

"Sure it could happen that someone clicks a bunch of times on a ad but that could happen on any site. "

    So true.

And I didn't mean to imply that the concept is necessarily bad, nor is it in direct conflict with G's TOS.

For sure, I will be monitoring your progress and would be more interested in listing if you had a relevant category for our (pcdoctorsgroup) services.

    Good luck to us all!

This quote just says that ads will be displayed on the content pages you create. Not you are creating the pages to display my ads.

Lots of people are creating pages just for the links.

PCDOC...or you could sign up and create your own category... As far as I can tell, that's kind of the point of the site...so you can create your own content pages and categories and then work with H-Man for other enhancements to his 'hobby' site. I really think this could develop into something cool for everyone.
