The fundamental of directory is to provide people the best website to visit/buy from. Let say your directory will contain only the best website from their niche. Provide valuable information about the website to your visitor, this mean the description about your listing.
I am working on basics now. What I want to do is go above and beyond what you see on other link directory sites. normally, its like register, upload code, verify, your done... I want to know what you guys want to see in a directory that may not be avail now (if its possible) sure - I can create a basic directory, but how will that be different then other sites? Anyone can create a basic directory, I want to offer more then that, and the only way I can do that is with your suggestions and ideas.
I have been reading a lot of posts lately from users bad mouthing link exchanges, spreading false rumors like "Link exchanges do not work" This is a false statement, and can be false for a numbers of reasons, here are two, you are new, and it does take time to get indexing, or you are a spammer, you get banned, then you dump all over everything else... here are some more reasons. http://www.hypergurl.com/articles/topreasons.html I am working on a new link exchange system. Please provide your support and ideas. I would like to know what you want to see in a link exchange. Be realistic about your linking, proper linking takes time.
Update: Over the last few days, I have been working out plans to create a new link exchange... oh another exchange...but not just another link exchange. I am creating a fresh and unique link exchange/directory, and not only that, enhanced with seo for member pages to get your site indexed as quick as possible. Remember, there is nothing at the site at the moment, please feel free to book mark the site for the future: SEO LINKS SPIDER DIRECTORY I estimate the completion of the link exchange within 30-40 days and I will continue to update posts here. Once the link exchange goes online, we will need some good beta testers to give the system a workout so we can iron out, and fix any bugs as soon as possible. If there is something you would like to see in this directory that you do not see in other directories, and it benefits everyone, then feel free to speak up. I will consider ideas and suggestions for the next 3 1/2 weeks, then I will be wrapping the system up, then suggestions after that will have to wait for future updates. lets all work together to create an awesome link exchange that will benefit everyone, and not the spammers.
