Is building backlinks in signature section of forums helpful? My friend asked me to register in a list of forums he gave me and to add backlinks in the signature section? Does it make any difference?
There are many helpful ways to build backlinks. Links in a signature is definitely one of them (although probably the least helpful of the ways). Just make sure all the sig. links are DOFOLLOW.
Links in post signatures DO help page rank. Somewhat. I have always kinda' figured it this way: a dozen or so sig links = decent reciprocal link from a PR7. I could be waaaayyyy off on this, but it's a formula I keep in my head.
It really depends on what you want. I am not sure of the impact on SEO but forum signatures can at least bring your products closer to the prospects. It can be pretty effective if you do it right.
There are forums that even though they are DO follow, still they don't appear as you backlinks in Google.
Yes, sure. But the fact is that none of the thread posts has a very good page rank so you know you dont get quality backlinks
the probablilit is about 50%, sometimes the sig give the link but in other time no ibl at all even dofollow link. still mysterious 4 me.
No, they won't help. The only way they're going to have an impact (and a minimal one at that) is if you're constantly posting on those forums. And trust me when I say your time is better spent than posting on forums all day every day.
Three of the four signature links I have point to threads on this forum. The other goes to a post I made on SitePoint. I'm not trying to rank for anything -- I just think that the members of this forum will find those links useful to them. (Given that this is a Webmaster forum, and the links are related to Web design and marketing...)
IMO, signature link does help but it must the link must be in the forum that are similar with your niche. Otherwise, NO.
My site rankings never responded to links from signatures. I remove them no effect if i keep it then my webmaster account just fills up with links from this forum . Thats all
Do a search for "google forum deep links". Google has just added deep linking to forum pages, hope that helps some.
