Building Back Links Quickly? Does this anger a search engine

Im curious if building links fairly quickly will damage your ranking temporarly on a search engine...For instance we submited 140 very good articles to 5 of the top article directorys and a select few to other directorys....will it take time to get back up to our ranking or did it kick us down completely

we were on the second page and climbing until we built all these links.

    thanks!

You can acquire a large number of links quickly as long as you can maintain that pace. Spikes are what can hurt you. The thing to remember about directory submissions is that they will not all be approved at the same time. I still get notifications over 6 months after the fact.

I think it depends on the links.
Ever heard of someone doing a successful linkbait (and thus getting a lot of backlinks in just 1-3 days) and getting penalized in Google?
    No ;)

whaaatt?? Completely false and that isn't really what G-Bowling is all about.

Anyways, as long as there are no other spammy techniques being used.. you can build out your link profile at pretty much any speed you wish.

Legitimate sites can build thoasands of natural backlinks in a short time.

If your links are legitimate, natural looking with some of them from authority sources it will have a huge positive impact if you can build lots of these links regardless of whether it is in a short time.

As time goes by and those links are still in place Google would trust your site even more and your rankings would gradually improve.

Yes, I agree with you! unless your link building is illegal, then google never would not ban you.
