Building another website using templates

My current website was built using a template I downloaded from the web.
I'm guessing I used the coding all wrong, because each of my pages is a duplicate of the other except for the content in the main window and the link structure.

I assumed using a template was similar to a frames page in that if I change my header image, I would only need to change it in one place it it would show up an all pages therein. Am I incorrect in this assumption?

Is there anyplace I can go to read how to properly work with a website template?

Also, please recommend a few sources for good templates. I could drown in a sea of search results :D

    Thanks!

what exactly do you need ?

I would recommend getting templates and for backend http://www.solucija.com

Then just insert tags into html template where do you want your menu and content and thats it !

Read around on link i posted!

    Thanks.

I am developing a classic/muscle car enthusiasts website. It will have a forum, 'how to' pages, links to 'partner' sites, show/swap meet schedules, galleries and classifieds.
