    Hello everyone,

I am new to Internet Markting.

I have read on serveral forums that email marking has the best sales rate.
With that in mind, I am going to try to build up an opt-list in the following few months.

I just need some advice. What's the best way to build up a list that sales?

Hopefully someone can help me. I will report back how things are going during the following 8 weeks.

    Thanks for the help.

Well basically you need to build a good relationship with your subscribers, send them free "valuable" content, ask for their input etc and then they will trust you and your content. Then you can send them the occassionaly paid product eg ebooks, audios etc.

Generally a good list will convert at atleast 1% so say you have 5,000 subscibers, you should make atleast 50 sales each time you let then know about a paid product. So say 50 sales x a $50 product thats $2,500. If you can increase your conversion rate to 2% then you will make $5,000.

I'm in the Internet marketing niche, but it can be applied to anything...health, golf, dating etc and you'll have an even better conversation rate with those niches.

Provide value first and then you can market to them.

    Hope that helps.

I have a newsletter that gives my subscribers tips on a regular basis in my niche. Most of my list was built by promoting a splash page offering a free e-book for signing up for my list.

Fact is if you want to expect to see any sales you have to give your subscribers free, useful information in a way that pre-sells whatever you're trying to sell.

You need a couple things to start.

    1. You need website where you can place an opt-in form.

    2. You need a good auto-responder service. like aweber.com or emailaces.com

    3. You need something to offer in exchange for their information.

    4. You need 6 to 10 pre-written warm up mails other wise known as an email series that is hopefully in the same topic as what you offered in trade for the information.

    5. If you want to learn more, I teach everything you need to know in my list building Newsletter. I also have a report coming out soon where I interviewed three list building experts 12 key questions about list building that will be launching soon.

I just launched my own list too and I'm very curious about your open rate and sales convert rate of your list. And how many subscibers do you have?

Anybody can share your experience here?

Yeah make sure to get the best autoresponder before starting a list, or you will lose a large number of your leads when you transfer your list to another autoresponder.
