Building a social community with Drupal 6.x

    Does anyone have experience of Drupal 6.x and building a social community with it, could do with some help, as I'm new to Drupal and trying to migrate to it from Wordpress. Thanks..

    In doing exactly the same , A lot of stuff is not yet stable for D6. Stuff like panels , Bio etc . But i would not recommend using d5 either.

    A simple community can be easily built, there are a lot of tutorials on the drupal site.

    I like the flexibility of Drupal, but the sheer task of getting a site up on it keeps me going back to Wordpress when I want to get something quickly...

    i've built a pretty successful community on D4.7 (now upgraded to D5).. I can help if you have any specific questions.
