building a new computer...what do you think?

SGZ: No, I probably dont'...but I'm planning ahead. I build computers with a long time frame in mind. my last computer lasted about 5 years....I hope the same for the next and I know there will be a lot of new things coming out in the future. I'm willing to spend the extra little bit for it...

do you think those will be compat with each other?

yeah, of course..I have an APC UPS already that I use for my current network.

 

cool how much did that cost you?

 

it was about $100..wasn't expensive.

A UPS is a battery....

It's a surge protector + battery backup... a UPS means: Uninterruptible power supply -- in simple terms, a battery backup.
