We are starting a new company for a community Magazine, I am just wondering what would be the best option to design it, then what would I use to convert the 24 a4 pages into a PDF to send off to the printers?

And for the PDF I know you can get virtual PDF printers, i need the highest quality possible, and be able to print 24 pages to the pdf

There was a thread made yesterday displaying a bunch of PDF-converting links. I'll try and find that thread for you...

You can download openoffice. It is like MS Word (I like it better) and you can turn your word docs into pdfs...All free

I've been in the publishing industry for 10 years.

Used to use Quark - now use Indesign and love it. If you need help - PM me. I can help you understand what printers need etc.
