Building a File Capture Module

    Hello, Forum;

    I'd like to get an idea of how difficult it should be for an experienced Drupal developer to build a component that allows a CMS user to select a CSV file in the user's system, then have that file pushed to a database by the CMS (Drupal) when the submit button is clicked. Seems like this should be a fairly simply pursuit, almost an off-the-shelf component in the Drupal environment.

    The specifics are that a database has been set up for a 365-day calendar, each day having a short bit of info for that day. The other table columns are for the Date Title, the calendar date, and a couple of other minor scraps of information, all text. Extremely simple. The file capture module would allow for updating the entire database in one operation. How long, in terms of hours, should it take to put something like that together?
