Hi, I am new here.. i think i could help.. I is definitely better to build your desktop from scratch. It enables you to make one according to your need. You get to pick the best parts, assuming you have the bucks. Just be sure you get your desktop casing with the highest power supply rating (wattage). My desktop just got broke. My power supply was not able to handle the load requirement of my computer parts installed into the board.
Yes. It will either 1) Save you a lot of money, 2) Save you no money but give you much better specs than if you purchased pre-built, 3) somewhere in between 1 & 2. It takes more planning and thought of course, but it's really not that hard. Most websites out there (like newegg) give the needed specifications on the website to allow you to know what parts work together.
Try to consider this: 1. What type of processor you intend to use 2. Then look for compatible motherboard 3. Maximize the memory allowed by the board 4. Buy high end graphic card 5. other parts are already basic PS don't forget a high wattage rating for the computer casing
I would if you have alot of money. Check the PSU like he said and make sure you get a good motherboard and Hard drive. If you do not have alot of money forget this idea. Computer chips and technology are becoming outdated alot faster. I see better and new technology coming out almost every 2 years putting many custom desktops that cost alot of money obsolete to cheap computer that are faster.
like the posters above me have said if you build it your self it will be cheaper and you can pick the components that suit you best
Need to inputs and calculations in choosing the best hardware, adjust to your needs and your financial condition. I hope you get the best fit with your expectations
You don't need to build a PC unless you have a specific use for it, such as gaming or video editing. If you'll be doing email, web browsing and occasionally other tasks, an off-the-shelf model will suit fine.
If you want a desktop, I would build it even if it was for the little things it will still be overall cheaper
Building your computer from scratch is anytime the best way, since you know what and how the part are installed in your pc. You can repair your own pc or change the old part and installed new 1 without some techies help.
Bulid your own is far better gives you the freedom to choose what you want to add. however be careful to insert the motherboard in the right way, that well help you avoiding electric mass with the box.
If you have a specific purpose for your desktop computer then go ahead and built it from scratch but make sue yo plan first before you proceed. But if it is for general usage only then a ready made computer is favorable.
This. Unless your going to be doing some hardcore-gaming, their really isn't a reason to build your own. Unless you enjoy the process and have a nack for having the best machine with the best parts.
If you are going to use a PC for everyday work then buy a pre-built one. If you are into gaming then an assembpc is the best option since you can choose which parts to use.
