I keep reading posts here that say it is better to build a blog using word press and that it is better to build a blog on blog sites - such as blogspot, blogger and so on ----- So if I own my own domain and create a blog using ( an example ) CSS & HTML - isn't is still a blog? What defines blog? PS: I forgot to ask this question - can a blog have many different subjects that are non related? Most blogs I see have a theme or specific subject.
the free sites do not allow you to monetise them hence y u should go to the software which allows you to install on your own domain, a blog has a template which allows navigation menus to be correct by default as well as allowing for functionality expansion
Other things that define most blogs are : RSS feeds Frequent updating (Daily, weekly) Auto Pinging new content Page and Category Navigation Ability for user to leave comments
blog is like an online diary. It gets updated frquently. Today blogs are a good source of knowledge and information. You can also make a blog by css and html. But its very difficult to manage the pages and to publish the comments/feedback from the visitors. so we use a blogging platform like wordpress (wordpress.com and self hosted blogs from wordpress.org) or blogger. So better you use a blogging application for easy blogging.
The languages you use doesnt matter to blog. The blog is only a note book for you to record or write down whatever you like and share to all the member
