Harness the power of Google search to create a free Custom Search Engine that reflects your knowledge and interests. Specify the websites that you want searched - and integrate the search box and results into your own website.

Build and customize your own search engine

    * Specify the sites you want to include in searches.
    * Place a search box and search results on your website.
    * Customize the look and feel to match your website.
    * Invite your community to contribute to the search engine.
    * Make money from relevant ads in your search results.

Very easy to create one and implement it. I've tried creating 3-4 myself, and they've all worked pretty fine... it's a MUST TRY!!

    Regards,
    Nithanth

You realize that this is just a sub-conscious way for google to promote itself for free? :p Joke, that's really nice and cool. How well does it work though? As in, how well does it stick to the topic?

I've been using it for a few weeks and think it is a very good idea. You can basically create a search engine with only the site you like.

Yes you could say that, but there are other things you can do with Google's APi that you can with swicky. One of the most notable is that you can actually create your own search engine, with its own layout, etc.. This is not possible with swicky.

    Really cool :)
Perhaps you should place the 3 search boxes better. When the page loaded, I thought it was some error with my browser and I saw the same thing twice :p

    100%.

Actually, you just need to go to "customize templates" and create your own search engine with its customized layout. :D

I think the only which you might not be able to customize is the search box, but why change it anyway, its quite compelling.

The thing about swickis is that they actually offer something different in terms of look and feel.
