Build WP Theme with Slider

    Hello guys. Are there any Wordpress experts that can guide me as to how you go about building a WP theme with a slider built in that the user would be able to edit, without them having to install and set up a slider plugin? I know I can put my own slider code into the template, but it does not present an interface for them to easily change the images.

    A plugin would be far easier for them to use. Something like vslider that has a ton of options
    with basic settings and you can hook it into any part of the theme.

    Or maybe do something like this
