Build and Empire Audiobooks question

I have a chance to sign up as an affiliate for this. Basically, as I see it, people signed up for Build and Empire and are distributing the affiliate opportunities in order to achieve an ongoing income.

    1. It looks like they get 30% - where does the other 70% go?

    2. I am being offered 15% (50/50 split) but this includes 100 html pages - the way I see it is that the 100 page generation is as easy as pressing a few buttons

    3. I have seen others (inc on these forums) offer 20% and on sitepoint someone was offering 25% (but with a flat fee of $150 I think)

So, is it a good thing to get involved in - has anybody got experience with it?

    Hi Hank,

I bought one of the "Build an Empire" franchises managed by Spoken Network. I paid $1000 for it and I pay $50 a month for their ongoing service.

As the franchise owner I get 30% of any sale. The rest goes to the Spoken Network for cost of products.

Yes, the 100 pages is as easy as "pressing a few buttons." You can also use a direct link to your affiliate site, or the Sell Direct Links YOU create as an affiliate.

I offer 20% with no fee for the affiliate. That means I only get 10% of the sale. You create your own text links, banner links or sell direct links from your own affiliate back office. Everything is there. If you should want to connect directly to your main affiliate site, I supply a couple of banners.

If you are a book affiliate, it pays much more than Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc. affiliate programs. They only pay single digit commissions. More and more people are buying audio books...and this site allows you to download them instantly and listen to them on a variety of devices. The Sell Direct Links can be put on your site so that when a person clicks to purchase, the purchase page has your header and they download from another page that has your header. They never know you are an affiliate. It looks like you are selling the audio books directly. All the while, Spoken Network is doing all the work "behind the scenes."

You can see my franchise and my affiliate info/offer by taking a look at the 2nd website in my signature.

I would be glad to answer any other questions you have.

Thanks for the repy Jim. I had already seen your offer on the forums.

Can I get the 100 html pages via your offer? Do we have access to the "content direct facility"? If so, you're on.

    I'm not sure about that.

What is your niche? What do you do on the internet?

I am incorporating the Sell Direct Links into two of my sites I am redesigning. I was able to find books specific to both sites, created my own Sell Direct Links. People who look at these two sites are usually interested in more knowledge about the topics. The audio books are cheap, easily downloaded, no club to join, no subscrition fee.

So much of this is automated in the sense that, if you are an affiliate, you can handle this with no problem and tie it into you niche!

    Hi Hank,

As an affiliate, you don't have access to Content Direct. I don't know why; they give you access to standard and Sell Direct Links.

But if you join under me, I will create html pages...whether there are 100 or not depends on your subject area (s). We can always work together to get you the maximun Content Direct pages.

    No problem.

    Jim,

    I find this very interesting...

Are you saying you help create the web site(s) and we would host the site and promote? Is that what you're offering?

    Thanks,
    BGLefty

    HI BGLefty,

There are a number of ways you can promote.

    • Text and Banner Links to the main page or category pages.
    • Text and Banner Links to individual audio books.
    • Content Direct html pages (embedded with your ID) to individual audio books you host on your own site. You tell me which categories/subcategories you wish to have. The system will take up to 30% of the titles from each category/subcategory and create a maximum of 100 html pages depending on how "broad" your choices are. I then email you the pages to upload to your server. (You can modify the pages to add your header, footer, etc.)
    • Sell Direct Links to individual audio titles where the system will create 3 pages for you (buy, download, error). All can have your header, and it looks to the customer as if they never left your site to make the purchase. we do everything in the background.

The last two are great if you already have a niche site. (example: You have a health site. You can sell audio titles on health, nutrition, exercise, dieting, etc.)

Thanks for the quick reply Jim!

I'll have to think this one over...how I can implement it into my sites, etc...sounds promising...

    Thanks,
