Hi, I have a budget of about $2,000/month. I would like to now how to approach the four search engines(and others eventually) but right now just the 4. Google, Yahoo, MSN, AOL. Well, if can hire any reputable SEO firm with that budget per month. I suggest you to research properly and make sure you check the portfolio to get the idea. and if you want to start with PPC eventhough $2000 is more than enough to start with don't just start google adwords blindly. read it first whatever you can about adwords. It is really very tricky game.
Yes, I agree, PPC can be good if you know what you are doing, if you are not watching things, you can go bust really quick with PPC, and end up with nothing to show for. I used google awhile back..I was losing more then I was making, so i gave it up...you really need to find someone with google experience that knows what they are doing so they can help you optimize your keywords and get the most bang for the buck.
$2000/month is good budget. You shall consider hire a SEO expert to help on your SERP. At the same time, you can use adwords to generate some targeted traffic. Also, hire some worker on yahoo answering, posting and link building
I would say firt thing first research and really get to know how to market first because throwing money into a marketing plan has less of a chance of a return than going to the casino. First really really research your market. try the free things first to learn you will get a higher return this way
I agree with most of the people here. Use adwords! 2000/month is a good budget, you could make more than $10,000 with that kind of budget if you use adwords properly
I agree with ErikJ you should research first. Make sure you choose a good niche and that you choose good keywords. Good keywords enable you to get free traffic. I would also use some of that cash on a few top directory links and hire some good article writers. I would not go putting that cash into PPC if you don't know what you are doing.
With that budget I would say I would invest in something like 25-50$ for a set of ebooks on seo and start studying and doing seo myself. do not get scammed. most of the legit professional seos cost you more than 2500-5000$ a month. if you are targeting something like "web hosting " expect to pay the legit SEO's who know what they are doing something around 15000-25000$ or more. To get traffic you can use ad words, stumble upon advertising, blog reviews and other link building services (to get authority and links). Never fall for 10000 visits for 10$ scam. they are just fake traffic. Whenever you do an adwords campaign I suggest you get some professional advice. be ready to spend 100-1000$ for consulting on your ad copy and ad writing. Do not try to submit to directories or blog posting networks as they will do you no good other than waste your money. Try getting links in high profile blogs which gets thousands of visitors a day. It will help you get some authority. Just a few tips. of course the actual will depend on the kind of business you intend to promote.
