BuddyPress to be used with Wordpress or WPMU?

    what do I need to run Buddypress? Wordpress or WordpressMU?

    what's the difference between running it on one versus the other?

    buddypress is social networking plugin which u can use with wpmu version and wp is for single blog. WPMU mean users can create thier own blog, example is free hosted wp blog.
