I'm with DA on this just be your self, but if you start preaching or insulting you can expect to get it back ten fold. Good start by appologising though

 

The webmastering world is a strange little place and you certainly don't need to be liked to be accepted. Take for example AC (who seems to have now departed) many people didn't like some of his views but he was still an accepted part of DP - at least I think he was.

Be yourself people will either like you, hate you, or be indifferent about you but you'll be accepted for who you are (or rather who you come accross as being in your posts).

 

You'll find that if you keep slamming people eventually they (and others) will simply add you to their "ignore" list. It's a great little message board tool.

When you're new to a board it's always a good idea to chill out for awhile and get the feel of what's going on and the type of people that hang out there. It's like most social situations....you're not always going to fit in or feel comfortable.

Many of us have been on the 'wrong' side of arguments. Many times due to simple mistakes, taking stuff out of context, typos meaning wrong thing, trusting people when they say they are honest, if anyone other than you were wrong, why did you participate?

I'll continue to be on the wrong side and say, stop your new threads, and only comment on web related stuff, and soon we can all get along. Let this thread die too.

See, you can't first apologize and then say but it was all someone else's fault. Don't you see (1) that the second statement nullifies the first, and (2) no one can "make" you do or say anything -- you chose to do that.
