Since the forum is getting bigger and loaded with threads in trades sections who not altering the current structure ?

this is the image in my mind (which can be modified upon this discussion)

    Sites

Includes sub forum for "Turnkey Sites" which are new sites with no traffic/revenue yet and we leave the main section for sites with revenue

    Domains

Includes sub forum for "Domains With Traffic" Which can be parked for revenue

    Links
Includes sub forum for "Signature Links" so we leave the main section for Site links only

I this will make things better and more focused ;)

The more subforums we make the less likely members are to post in the correct place.

I agree with Smyrl but the following need to be made:

    Sites
    - Revenue Sites
    - No Revenue Sites (No revenue)

    B/S/T
    - Freebie Section (itrader option disabled)
(below are subforums to the freebie section)
    -Scripts
    -Domains
    -Services
    -Domains
    -Designing (wordpress skins and such)

    Content
    - Scripts

Any thoughts on the above structure?

    Edit

Smyrl, that will not kill activity or thread population but offer a more specific genre, right now there is no need for more activity but the need for more specific categories.

    Pros..
    -More specific categories
    -Less spamish thread
-Finally finish the itrader on the free stuff!
-More activity on valid offers in the right section, right now paid threads are being overtaken in the content section by FREE stuff...=/

    Cons..
-6-7 more forums added to the mod's watch over list..(more work?)
-20 minutes out of shawn's busy life
-around 15 queries over the dp cluser
-10 more minutes out of shawn's busy life for the announcement of this change.
-5 minutes to answer some stupid concerns on the announcement thread.

Since you guys pick on every small thing, there ya go the pros and cons...

Why are we maing sub forums to freebie section?

There arent free stuff that much and whatever present, is WAREZ.

So, definitely you're gonna getting lots of red reps. if you take up that warez

Agreed. I rarely go into the sites section anymore, don't have the time to weed my way around turnkey sites, and the good sites.

I used to purchase a site at least once every couple of weeks, now it's down to 1 every couple of months MAYBE.

Definitely something should be done to categories in BST.

More categories means more infraction for starting the thread in wrong category. WOW! The mods are going to have get more works :D

I too consider the above option to be very good. Presently a quality site posted in the BST section gets buried down deep in one day time, mainly due to the new and turnkey sites. If we have a separate category for that, there is a better chance of both the types getting more attention.
