I can make 100 posts today if I want to. It means nothing.

This is a webmaster forum but there are lot of people here who are not webmasters. And many of them depend on BST. If they need to make 100 posts to get to BST to earn money, they will just make 100 crappy posts and be done with it.

Well said. When people express their idea, its an idea that fits within their needs. There are others.

    Merry Christmas :)

100 posts means you've contributed in some way. Yes you will say people will spam but if they do they will get warned and banned. Why should you be able to come here with 0 posts and post offers? 100 posts means that you've got an understanding of the place and know the rules and have some basic experience..

A good majority of the posts are crap. Just browse around.

You dont need 100 posts or 2 months membership here to have an understanding of what they are selling. If somebody is selling something, chances are they probably know what they are talking about.

    Merry Christmas :)

Yes but 2 months or 100 posts means you have at least basic understanding from reading.. It would just be a way to make people put some effort in before selling stuff..

you mean the mods dont get paid??

I think the over 100 posts is good, or maybe a bit less say 75.

It will help stop the scamming, help, not stop.

paid staff is really good idea. I have got some suggestions for DP, please discuss here

    1) New rule of BST (5$ or less in freebie) is not good. I saw those sells are real in trouble. We should have new sub section for goods less than 10-20$ which can referred as low cost items.

    2) Hiding BST section is really good idea.

    3) I don't know why DP is promoting stumble and digg requests but It should be banned or moved separately to other section (new section)

    4) let me how do you think about this idea?
Having a announcement section where people can post about latest scammers.

Nice suggestion but, if that happens we will see an increase in number of people welcoming new members. ;)

i agree with the 100 posts suggestion too,and should extend the period to 30 days ( its 14 days ) to post on BST,i think that some scammers will have no pacience to wait all this time and make 100 posts

i have another suggestion.....People should be able to open a new thread only if there itrader is above a certain limit e.g say 10 or 5.....To prevent scamming this will help a lot...Because ppl who want to scam will have to get 10 itraders which isnt easy and after getting 10 itraders i dont think they will be interested in scamming...

Are you suggesting that If I want to sell something, I have to buy 10 things I dont need to get 10 itraders so that I can sell?

Well why not just don't buy them? If there are not buyers then probably no one will sell them. :)

BST is very important part of digital Point but its also most spammed Part of digital point. I think all the post made in BST should not be counted towards post count.

    Pretty simple suggestion here

If what someone is doing is illegal do not allow them to be selling it in the BST section.

I've seen people selling email lists, email harvesters among other things.

Also if someone is breaking the terms of service of some other service by selling something disallow that. So that should cover the selling of Paypal, Ebay, and various other accounts which is clearly against the terms of these providers.

Find an add-on or something to disallow the bumping of threads in the BST section by the thread starter. It's against the rules already but it's tough to maintain this rule. I see constant bumping as the number of threads is large so every hour people are bumping their threads creating an even larger mess.

in who's best interest? yours? what about mine? Just because I joined today doesnt mean Iam worthless. My time has value. I shouldnt really have to buy things or do "small services" to get itrader to sell a product I have. ??

100 posts? what would that achieve other than to waste somebody's time?

These are not the qualifications to sell something?? If you are scared of getting scammed, take measures. Its your duty to protect yourself. Use escrow.

Hiding the BST from non-members would be a good start to reduce/cut out the scammers who browse, find people who are engaging in those idiotic money exchanges (actually, just ban the damned things all together).

of course that your time has value, but i think that if new members have to get 10 itraders and do 100 posts will be better because scammers wil have no patience to do this,if you really want to sell your product you should show that you have reputation and can do all the requeriments of the forum, escrow doesnt helps,a lot of people dont pay.
thats just my 2 cents,i think that people should have some qualification to sell something to prevent scam.
