Bruce Willis fighting terror with money instead of whining

I find it nice that there are a few people in Hollywood left that are actually able to remain true to their craft. Instead of bitching, whinning and acting like a baby, Bruce Willis is offering money to those that turn in terrorists.

    While other nay sayers like:

Affleck, Ben Altman, Robert Aniston, Jennifer Asner, Ed Baldwin, Alec Behar, Joy Belafonte, Harry Bernhard, Sandra Carlin, George Cher Cho, Margaret Clennon, David Clooney, George Cusack, John Depp, Johnny DiFranco, Ani Dixie Chicks
and still more are doing nothing but complaining. Willis is doing something. Imagine if all these rich stars put forth some effort and money to help fight terrorism instead of siding with terrorists and telling everyone why America is bad what could be accomplished.

    Thanks Mia, much appreciated!

Sorry I can't green rep you!

Oh, BTW, just ignore yo-yo will you? :)

I only wish I had a few millions to donate for various purposes, and one would be Osama Bin Laden, then Zarqawi, but also to help their victims and others.

If you don't understand what he is saying than you are living in ignorance. Have you not heard the many elitist saying america deserved the attacks on 9/11 etc...? Even that one slob, michelle moron, likes to paint that picture along with saying bush caused the attacks, etc..

I've heard of Bruce giving money many months ago, reguardless if I agree with what he/she is doing I will say the following.

It is nice to see a celeb put some of their vast money out instead of just talking no matter the subject matter :)

That's great! I wish that more people could do that instead of giving economic support to terrorist organisations.

My apologies for the slam on some of the Hollywood elite I mentioned. My point over all is that I would like to see more people taking action rather than bitching.

A good example of this is when you have a Anti-war rally and Jessica Lange comes out and says stuff like: "I hate George Bush"

    or

"To my mind the election was stolen by George Bush and we have been suffering ever since under this man’s leadership."

    or how about

"It is an embarrassing time to be an American. It really is. It’s humiliating."

Well Jessica, what the hell are you doing to help? Everyone has an opinion, but very few actually put their money where there mouth is.

This America that Jessica Lange and others hate so much is the America that has afforded them freedoms that NO other country on the planet ever would or could. Jessica Lange and others like her in Hollywood have no less freedoms today then they did under the previous administration. Nothing has been taken away from them or any of us in terms of our Bill of Rights and our Constitutional Amendments. It's all still here, and we are just as free as we ever were.

Why not just say something like, thank you; to the men and women fighting to give you the right to say the things you do? Why not thank all of us who spent our hard earned right wing dollars to see you in your films. Why not give something back to those that lifted you up.

I've never seen so much vile hatred and disrespect in all my life than that of what I have seen out of Hollywood lately.

    It is really is sad.

    1. You focus way to much time on celebrities and rich people.. envy is it?

    2. It's called free speech, just b/c these people are rich and don't give away money doesn't mean they shouldn't be able to say what they believe.

    3. Not supporting George Bush or not supporting the Iraq war does NOT mean you side with terrorists or hate America

Bruce Willis offered $1 million to capture any of the 3 most wanted terrorists.. you know the ones who already have $25 or $50 million bounties on their heads from the U.S. Government... I bet Bruce Willis' 1/50th offer really sweetens up the deal ...

I mean I'm sure there's tons of people out there who were sitting around contemplating if the $50 million was really worth turning in a terrorist.. and then they heard bruce willis will add another million to the deal and are now rushing to turn them in!

    lol ;)

The point behind the reward for the 1 Million is pretty lame as yo yo did point out. It however is not the first time I've heard of Bruce putting money out instead of just words. It does bother me at times certain celebs talking trying to get fans to put money twoards something, but they themselves will not.

BTW I'm only responding to this thread since you closed the best thread of the day :(

Good way to get publicity without spending a dime. He knows that it is very little chance that he ever has to pay out that money but he can millk it as much as possible on TV circus. ;)

If he wants to help, he could give out the money to different veteran organizations that are trying to help soldiers who first go and fight for their country and then get screwed by their government.

No, it's called hypocrisy. I have no envy, save for perhaps those fleeting moments when I wish I would have been a porn star. Those that envy wealth and power are generally those that already have it, are democrats, or both.

Of course it is, and no one is arguing that. Most of all, no one is taking it away from them, as many of them would like most to think.

I don't care if they say what they believe (though it's wrong) till they are blue in the face. What bothers me is the fact that all the while they are bitching about it, they are in far better position to do something about a given problem than most. However they choose to be part of the problem, rather than the solution.

No, I guess you did not read what I said. It's not about supporting and or agreeing with a point of view. It is about giving aid to the enemy by supporting their way of thinking.

That is why I am glad I am not a liberal.

    1. I can think for myself
    2. I can distinguish between an opinion and an attack
    3. I learn from history - I don't rewrite it

There are more reasons, but those are a few of the ones that stick out.

Ah, reason number 4. I'm not a pessimist and 5. I have a positive outlook.

    6. I know when it is appropriate to make a joke.

Serious about what? Applauding the fact that someone from Hollywood actually wants to be part of the solution, not part of the problem?

I guess that would be a big 10/4

You think hollywood's money can stop the Iraq war or George bush from being the president? . if that is the goal the only way to do so is to get the majority of PEOPLE to agree... so speaking out would be doing something it , wouldn't it

Next, you claim to think for yourself, but this:
Sure sounds like George Bush is thinking for you ;)

Serious about starting this thread. I think you must watch too much daytime TV or something.

But hey, now that Bruce has offered up some bounty, it's just a matter of time before the Binster is caught. :D

    You don't get yo-yo.

Mia THINKS that what ever Bush said in his last speech is correct. That is what he means by to think for myself. :D
