Browsing your own site - CTR

I'm just setting up and was wondering if browsing your own site effectively lowers the CTR? (assuming you aren't clicking the adds).

I'm using my own cms and always going in to see the new pages etc causing lots of page impressions.

Is there a way to block my ip?

Should do, and no way to block your IP in the G stats. Get more people to your site then it won't matter so much :)

you COULD do some server side code to not insert the adSense code if its your IP.. or you could edit your host file to block the adSense googlesindicationwhatever url so that ads just dont work from your PC.

Not afaik, which is a bit of a PITA when you have a forum which you're active in..

The solution is to get so many users that your views are insignificant ;)

I use server-side code so that either my login (where applicable) and/or IP don't display the ads at all. Prevents me from clicking on my own ads as well.
